League One side Wigan Athletic have signed Tranmere midfielder Max Power on a three-year contract.

He was out of contract at Prenton Park and decided to leave following Tranmere's relegation last season.

The 21-year-old, who has been with Rovers since the age of eight, will move for a fee set by a Football Association tribunal.

"We are very happy to have Max on board with us," manager Gary Caldwell told the club website., external

"He has played at this level during his time with Tranmere, but is still young and will learn a lot from the experienced players in the squad."

He joins David Perkins, Richard O'Donnell and Craig Morgan as new signings for boss Gary Caldwell this summer.

Meanwhile, Wigan striker Andy Delort has joined French Ligue One side Caen for an undisclosed fee.
