Rotherham defender Kari Arnason has joined Swedish top-flight side Malmo for an undisclosed fee.

The 32-year-old made 116 league appearances in three seasons with the Millers, helping them earn promotion from League Two to the Championship.

The Iceland international has signed a two-year deal with the Allsvenskan side.

He told the club website: "I want to play for Malmo FF because it is the biggest club in Scandinavia right now."
