Championship side Rotherham United have signed defenders Danny Collins and Tom Thorpe on free transfers.

Collins, 34, left Nottingham Forest at the end of last season having made only eight appearances in 2014-15.

Thorpe, 22, was released by Manchester United after coming through the youth system at Old Trafford.

The defender, who made one Premier League appearance for the Red Devils, spent time on loan at Birmingham during the 2013-14 campaign.

The length of the deals for Collins and Thorpe have not been disclosed.
