Rangers: Wes Foderingham signs three-year deal

Rangers have signed former Swindon goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

The 24-year-old has agreed a three-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months at the club.

Foderingham, who was a youth international for England, moved to the City Ground from Crystal Palace in 2012 following a successful loan spell.

"It's a massive club and a fantastic opportunity," he said. "I spoke to a few clubs in England but I want to help bring the good times back here."

Foderingham is the third signing for manager Mark Warburton after he brought defenders Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan to Ibrox.

And he will vie for a starting place with Cammy Bell, who has been at Rangers since his move from Kilmarnock in 2013.

"Like any club, it's about competition but I wouldn't be here if I didn't think I could be number one," added the new arrival.

Meanwhile, former Coventry and Watford midfielder John Eustace will train with Rangers for two weeks in a bid to win a deal.

The 35-year-old was in Glasgow for talks last month following his release by Derby.

Gordon Durie has left the coaching team at Ibrox, while head of sports science Jim Henry is also parting company with the Championship club.
