Mansfield Town: Stags sign defender Krystian Pearce

Krystian Pearce began his career at hometown club Birmingham City

Mansfield have signed experienced defender Krystian Pearce following a successful trial with the club.

The 25-year-old, who was released by Torquay at the end of last season, has made almost 250 career appearances.

Pearce was a trainee at Birmingham City before making his senior debut for Notts County while on loan in 2007.

"I'm excited [about signing for Mansfield]. I've trained the past few days and it's been good," Pearce told the club website.
