Jonas Knudsen has two caps for Denmark at senior level

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Denmark international Jonas Knudsen from Esbjerg for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.

The left-back, 22, made his debut for the Danish Superliga side at the age of 17 and has made over 100 appearances.

He has been capped twice by Denmark and played for his country in the recent European Under-21 Championships.

Knudsen will replace Tyrone Mings, who left Portman Road for Bournemouth in an £8m deal earlier this summer.

He could make his Town debut in the pre-season friendly against FC Utrecht at Portman Road on Saturday.

His deal will run until 2018, but the club have an option to extend it for a further 12 months.
