James Perch: QPR sign Wigan Athletic defender

Championship club Queens Park Rangers have signed defender James Perch from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old, who made 42 appearances for the Latics last season, has agreed a three-year contract at Loftus Road.
"James is a proven Championship performer, with great versatility across a number of positions," R's boss Chris Ramsey told the club website., external
"He'll be a real asset for us and will add experience to a young squad."

Perch who joined Wigan in 2013 after spells at Nottingham Forest and Newcastle, becomes QPR's seventh signing following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
"We know we're quite light on numbers in the defensive third of the pitch, so James's arrival is welcome," said Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand.
"He's got a wealth of Premier League and Championship experience, he's in the prime of his career, and he ticks all the boxes in terms of his quality and character."
