Jeffrey Monakana: Bristol Rovers sign Brighton midfielder on loan

Jeffrey Monakana signed an 18-month deal with Brighton in January 2014

Bristol Rovers have signed Brighton midfielder Jeffrey Monakana on a one-month loan deal.

Monakana joined Brighton from Preston but has not played a first-team match.

The 21-year-old has also spent time on loan at Crawley Town, Aberdeen, Mansfield Town and Carlisle United.

"If he does well hopefully we might be able to extend his loan, but for now I'm delighted to have another option for the right side of midfield," said Rovers boss Darrell Clarke.
