Van Den Bogaert could play against Oxford on Saturday if the club receive international clearance in time

Belgian defender Bryan Van Den Bogaert has joined League Two side Crawley on a short-term contract.

The 23-year-old played for the club in two pre-season friendlies and has resumed training after an ankle injury.

"Bryan did well in both games and showed his commitment by driving five hours just to get here to play against Reading," said Crawley boss Mark Yates.

"It's a position we have been looking at and this is an opportunity for Bryan to impress us still further."

Van Den Bogaert, who will need international clearance to play against Oxford on Saturday, has previously played for Belgian sides Cappellen, FC Heist and Royal Antwerp.
