Grant Hall: QPR sign centre-back from Tottenham

QPR have signed centre-back Grant Hall from Tottenham on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, who had been on trial at Loftus Road in pre-season, worked with QPR boss Chris Ramsey at Spurs.
Hall spent time on loan at Birmingham and Blackpool last season, playing 19 games in the Championship.
"He's an old-fashioned defender who can head the ball, tackle and he doesn't mind putting his foot in when he needs to," said Ramsey.
"But he can play as well from the back, and that's what we'll be looking to do when the opportunities present themselves this season.
"He's still a young boy and centre-half is a very responsible position but he's got experience in the Championship and that's vitally important for us."
Hall - who has also played for Swindon on loan - will go straight into the QPR squad to face Charlton on Saturday, having been registered before the 12:00 BST deadline.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge and hopefully I can step up and force my way into the team," said Hall, who started his career at Brighton.
"I think it's good to have competition for places, but I've not come here to sit on the bench."
