Chelsea's win came just a week after they lost to Arsenal in the Continental Cup

Chelsea moved three points clear at the top of Women's Super League One after a Vicky Losada own goal and Gemma Davison penalty gave them victory at Arsenal.

Losada deflected Gilly Flaherty's header from a corner beyond goalkeeper Sari Van Veenendaal's reach to give the visitors an eighth-minute lead.

Gemma Davison ensured victory from the penalty spot after Fran Kirby was brought down by Emma Mitchell.

Arsenal's Jordan Nobbs had a rare shot tipped onto the post in injury-time.

The win moved Chelsea five points point above Arsenal with three games left, seriously denting the Gunners' title hopes.

Lively England striker Fran Kirby, making her first league start for Chelsea, went close to adding to the tally on a number of occasions, but could not beat Arsenal goalkeeper Sari Van Veenendaal.

The hosts never really got going and Nobbs's late effort was the closest they came to a goal and arguably the only time they really troubled Blues stopper Hedvig Lindahl.
