Midfielder Sam Corne signed a new two-year deal with Welling this summer

Welling United captain Sam Corne hit a sublime late equaliser to secure a draw against 10-man Tranmere Rovers.

Rovers took the lead a minute into the second half when Liam Ridehalgh's corner was flicked on by James Norwood and Lois Maynard headed home.

However Ritchie Sutton was sent off for the visitors with 18 minutes remaining for an off-the-ball incident.

Wings midfielder Corne struck with a superb effort from 30 yards with just three minutes left to salvage a point.
