Jamie Jones: Colchester United sign Preston North End keeper

Jamie Jones has made 216 career appearances

Colchester United have signed Preston North End goalkeeper Jamie Jones on a 93-day loan deal.

The 26-year-old ex-Leyton Orient keeper made 17 appearances for North End in League One last season, before going out on loan to Coventry and Rochdale.

But he now finds himself behind Jordan Pickford and Chris Kirkland at the now-Championship club.

He comes in after U's keeper Sam Walker suffered cruciate ligament damage which could keep him out for the season.
