Carlisle United: Newcastle youngsters join on loan

Carlisle United have announced the loan signings of defender Macaulay Gillesphey and forward Alex Gilliead from Newcastle United.
The pair, both 19, have joined the League Two club on deals until October.
Gillesphey joined Newcastle in 2011 and became a regular in their U21 side, while Gilliead has been capped for England at U18 and U20 level.
"This is an opportunity to improve our squad with young, hungry players," Carlisle manager Keith Curle said.
"They both want to come here and test themselves outside the comfort zone of Development Squad football.
"It's the next part of their progression and it will give them a chance to stake a claim to play some league football at an early age."
