Altrincham 1-3 FC Halifax Town

A double from Jordan Burrow helped secure Darren Kelly his first win as Halifax manager in an impressive performance at Altrincham.

Kelly had seen his new side thrashed 7-1 by Cheltenham in his first match in charge at the weekend.

Burrow nodded in from Kevin Roberts' cross to put the visitors ahead, before Damian Reeves headed in a leveller.

A second header from Burrows regained the visitors' lead and Kingsley James' penalty sealed the points for Halifax.

Halifax are now only two points adrift of safety in 22nd place in the National League table.
