New Kidderminster boss Dave Hockaday was left under no illusions about the task facing him as Macclesfield handed them a ninth defeat in 16 league games.

Harriers goalkeeper Dean Snedker denied Jack Sampson and Danny Whitehead before Tony Diagne volleyed in the opener following a corner.

And Danny Rowe's low shot into the corner made it 2-0 at half-time.

Kidderminster improved after the break and on-loan debutant Jordan Murphy pulled one back from close range.

They remain winless and bottom of the National League table, while Macclesfield's victory extended their unbeaten run to four matches.
