Darren Ward: Yeovil Town sign veteran defender

Darren Ward began his career at Watford, making his senior debut in January 1997

League Two strugglers Yeovil Town have signed free agent defender Darren Ward on a deal until January 2016.

Ward, 37, started his career at Watford before moving to Millwall in 2001 where he made over 140 appearances, including the FA Cup final in 2004.

He signed for Crystal Palace in May 2005 for £1.1m, and has also played for Wolves, Charlton and Swindon Town.

Ward made 58 league appearances for the Robins before spending time on loan at Crawley Town.
