Gateshead 1-4 FC Halifax Town

  • Published

Managerless strugglers FC Halifax thumped Gateshead despite playing more than 50 minutes with 10 men.

The visitors, who sacked Darren Kelly on Wednesday, took the lead through Martin Smith's own goal.

Visiting keeper Russell Griffiths was sent off for fouling Ryan Bowman in the area and Bowman scored from the spot.

Kingsley James thundered home and Shaun Tuton scored on the rebound to make it 3-1 at the break, before scoring again after half-time.
