Tottenham Hotspur: Kenny McEvoy joins York City on loan

Kenny McEvoy had loan spells with Peterborough and Colchester last season

York City have signed midfielder Kenny McEvoy on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until 2 January.

The 21-year-old has yet to play a first-team game for the London club and his spell with York will be his fourth away from White Hart Lane.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international was on loan at Stevenage earlier this season.

McEvoy is likely to go straight into boss Jackie McNamara's squad for Saturday's game against Accrington.

York are currently next to bottom in League Two and looking to bounce back from a 6-0 defeat by Portsmouth on Tuesday.
