Richie Wellens: Oldham Athletic sign Doncaster Rovers midfielder

Richie Wellens has made 16 appearances for Doncaster this season

Oldham Athletic have signed Doncaster Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens on loan until 2 January.

The 35-year-old previously spent two years with the Latics between 2005 and 2007, making 101 appearances.

He could feature against fellow League One strugglers Crewe on Saturday.

Boss David Dunn told the club website: "First of all he is a leader, he's got a great character and will be a lift to the team and the supporters so I look forward to working with him."
