English jockey Ryan Moore brought his mount Adelaide from last to first to win the valuable Cox Plate in Australia.
Victory means Ireland's Aidan O'Brien is the first European trainer to win the AUS $3m (£1.6m) race, held at Moonee Valley.
Australia (7-1) triumphed by a head from favourite Fawkner, with Silent Achiever in third.
Side Glance, trained in England by Andrew Balding, finished fourth.
Winning rider Moore was completing a global big-race global double, having triumphed on Hillstar in the Canadian International on Sunday.
Of Adelaide, he said: "This horse has shown what a good colt he is. Things were against him but he's got the job done."
