Warrington Wolves eased to a routine victory over Hull FC in the Super 8s.
The hosts built up a healthy 16-point lead in the first half with Kevin Penny running in a double and Gary Wheeler and Ben Currie crossing, while Dean Hadley went over for the visitors.
Penny extended the home side's lead with his hat-trick try after the break.
Ryan Atkins sprinted in, Wheeler went over again and Joel Monaghan scored twice for the Wire, with Hull FC's Mark Minichiello collecting a double.
The result moved the Wire on to 26 points but their slim hopes of reaching the top four were ended by their 28-0 defeat by Wigan a fortnight ago.
Hull FC are also only playing for pride and coach Lee Radford admitted afterwards the game was played by two teams "with nothing left to play for".
Warrington coach Tony Smith:
"All credit to the players for their attitudes, some players are staying and some moving on, but they all ripped in regardless and that's important.
"That was a response to the way we trained over the last two weeks, they have been fantastic and the way they approached it was brilliant.
"Some people could think it doesn't mean anything to a team if you can't make the finals, but there's pride in your jersey, pride in your club and pride in your town and I think you saw a lot of that."
Hull FC coach Lee Radford:
"It looked like two sides out there with nothing to play for.
"The fact that they got embarrassed by Wigan a fortnight ago was probably the only thing that worked in their favour.
"I thought that they showed a little bit more intent than us defensively, but with the ball both sides were loose in a lot of areas."
