Launceston skipper Tom Rawlings pleased with Westcombe Park win

Launceston skipper Tom Rawlings says he is delighted with his side's first win of the National Two South season after their 48-7 win over Westcombe Park.

Mike Rawlings and Lewis Paterson each scored twice for the Cornish All Blacks while Will Carrick-Smith and Richard Friend crossed the line once each.

Kieron Lewitt kicked all six conversions and added two penalties before Park scored a consolation try.

"It was an awesome performance," Rawlings told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I'm really, really pleased.

"All the guys really stepped up to the plate today."

But Rawlings said that he expects his side to now put together a good run of performances, after last week's loss at Redruth.

"It was nice to win at home, but we need to show consistency," he continued.

"We've had two performances where we've played really well.

"We didn't win last week, we did this week, but we need another one on the road now," he added,ahead of next week's match at league-leading Henley.
