Cornish Pirates have signed Exeter Chiefs fly-half Myles Dorrian on loan.
The 29-year-old Australian will join up with his new team-mates on Tuesday and be available for the home game against London Scottish on Sunday.
Dorrian joined Exeter in the summer and has made one appearance in the LV= Cup this season.
The former Bedford man comes into the side as cover after Pirates fly-halves Ceiron Thomas and Jonny Bentley were both forced out with injuries.
Full-back Rob Cook deputised at fly-half in Saturday's 36-21 loss at Doncaster.
"We've been trying to get by with Rob Cook playing at 10, he's done a good job but he's not playing at 15 either," Cornish Pirates boss Chris Stirling told BBC South West.
"The opportunity came up to give Myles some rugby, I know him well from the Championship when he was playing for Bedford and I always thought he was an outstanding player.
"We've probably been going four or five weeks now where we've been struggling with the injuries and we need to take some action.
"We'd like to have him on board here for as long as it takes, he'll be a great addition."
Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter added: "We have been delighted with the efforts Myles has put in since his arrival in the summer.
"This season we have set up an excellent link with the Pirates through sending a number of our academy players down to them whilst we called upon Alan Paver to come us to us when we had a bit of a shortage in our front row.
"We see this as a great opportunity for Myles to get some good game-time under his belt, as well as help the Pirates after the Alan Paver deal."
