Cornish Pirates go third in the Championship with a hard-fought win over 14-man Plymouth Albion.

Rob Cook gave the hosts the lead after capitalising on a mistake by Mark Lee to go over but Albion were level almost immediately through Herbie Stupple.

Cook added another and Grant Pointer kicked 11 points as indiscipline cost Albion dear with Aaron Carpenter sin-binned and Gareth Evans sent off.

Rupert Freestone made it 21-12 before two late tries from Rhodri McAtee.
