May says he "couldn't wait to put pen to paper"

May, whose previous deal was due to expire next summer, has started all six of the Cherry and Whites' Premiership games this season, scoring four tries, and follows flanker Matt Kvesic in signing a new deal with the club.

He told the club website:, external "I couldn't wait to put pen to paper, it was a simple enough decision. It's the club I've grown up knowing and I live in the area now, it's home to me.

"I've got great mates here, and even though there have been some tough times here last year and in the past, I'm really happy with the way everything's looking at the moment.

"All our new coaches have been really impressive and for me it's just a great place to be at the moment. We're a team for the future that's building all the time."
