Wayne Rooney is likely to sign a new contract to extend his Manchester United career this summer, despite suggestions from France that Paris St-Germain have concluded a deal for the 27-year-old England striker.

But PSG are convinced they will land Rooney and the Qatari-backed club are ready to make it a £40m double deal by also taking his United team-mate Nani, the 26-year-old Portugal winger.
