Scottish Premier League clubs have been left angered by St Mirren chairman Stewart Gilmour's refusal to explain why he voted against the league reconstruction proposals put before the 12 clubs on Monday. (Various)

Another chairman who voted against the plans, Ross County's Roy MacGregor, says he could not go against the wishes of the club's fans, who had said they did not like the idea of the top two tiers of 12 splitting into three groups of eight midway through the season. (Daily Express)
