Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has told friends he would like to move to Manchester United. The Premier League champions have failed with two offers for the 26-year-old Spain international.

French winger Charles N'Zogbia, 27, could be set to leave Aston Villa, with Hull and Crystal Palace considering bids.
West Ham are set to open up talks again about a move for 31-year-old Southampton striker Rickie Lambert.

David Moyes was born to be manager of Manchester United, according to first-team coach Phil Neville.
Spanish midfielder Thiago Alacantara, 23, insists he never had contact with Manchester United ahead of his move away from Barcelona. Alacantara, who joined Bayern Munich this summer, says he did not feel valued by the Spanish champions.

Juventus retain an interest in Manchester City's Serbia left-back Aleksandar Kolarov, 27, despite chasing Napoli's Colombia international Juan Zuniga, 27.

Napoli and Spartak Moscow have both moved for Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo. The Paraguay international, 30, was linked with Manchester City earlier this summer and has been close to joining Fenerbahce.
AND FINALLY
New Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino is set to be unveiled by the Catalan side on Friday but he was greeted by fans of his former club Newell's Old Boys at Barcelona airport. One of their banners read: "13,000 miles can not separate."
