Saturday was a good day for Manchester City's Fernando who was on target in his side's 3-0 win over West Brom. "Thank you God for this goal and congrats team on our big win today!" he tweeted afterwards. "Couldn't be happier #MCFC."

Another goalscorer who was celebrating was Southampton's Shane Long who netted his side's opener against Burnley. "Nice to go into the international break on the back of a win!" he said after the 2-0 win. "Buzzing to get on the scoresheet too #WeMarchOn"

Spurs keeper Michael Vorm was quick to pay tribute to team-mate Harry Kane, after the striker's hat-trick helped sink Leicester at White Hart Lane. "Great win today!" Vorm tweeted. "Congrats to Harry with his hat-trick! HattrickHero!"

Stoke's players clearly thought they were unlucky to lose Saturday's Premier League game to Crystal Palace. Keeper Asmir Begovic tweeted: "Don't think we deserved to lose today, played well for most of the game. We will bounce back! Onto national team duty now", while midfielder Charlie Adam posted: "Not the result we wanted today but performance was good. Two week break now, then onto Chelsea game."

The win was good news for Palace though, with goalscorer Glenn Murray tweeting: "Good feeling going into the international break with two wins on the spin! Buzzing to get on the score sheet."

AND FINALLY....
