Super Bowl 2022: How to watch on BBC TV, where is the game being played and who is performing at half-time
- Published
The Los Angeles Rams will meet the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56 on Sunday, 13 February - and you can watch it live on BBC One.
BBC TV coverage starts at 23:00 GMT on BBC Two before switching to BBC One from 23:30 until 03:30.
The BBC's NFL pundits Osi Umenyiora, a two-time Super Bowl winner, and Jason Bell will be on hand to provide analysis and insight throughout the match.
The BBC Sport website and app will have live text commentary, in-play clips and post-match video highlights and analysis.
There will be match commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live and the BBC Sounds app from 23:00.
What time does the Super Bowl start?
The scheduled kick-off time for UK fans is 23:30 on Sunday, with the first half lasting around 90 minutes.
The half-time show will start around 01:00 and the match is expected to finish around 03:00.
Who will lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy?
The Bengals have never won the Super Bowl while the Rams won it in 1999 when the franchise was based in St Louis.
The winning team will get to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It is named after NFL coach Vince Lombardi, who led the Green Bay Packers to victories in the first two Super Bowls.
Where is the Super Bowl taking place?
Super Bowl 56 takes place at the spectacular SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California - the home ground the Rams share with the Los Angeles Chargers.
SoFi Stadium opened in September 2020 at a cost of $5.5bn and has a capacity of 70,240.
The Rams won't be considered the home team because that honour alternates each year between the AFC and NFC champions and this year it's the turn of the AFC winners, and that team is Cincinnati.
Who is performing the half-time show?
This year's half-time entertainment promises to be a stormer.
Rappers Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar will join forces with rhythm and blues singer Mary J Blige for a spectacular 12 minutes.
