  1. field goal

Field goal - Coltspublished at 20:34 GMT

    Tennessee Titans 0-3 Indianapolis Colts

What started as a real promising drive ended with a Michael Badgley field goal for the current number one seed, Colts.

Daniel Jones was slinging it early on but the Titans defence held their own down in the redzone.

  2. Postpublished at 20:33 GMT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-0 New Orleans Saints

Very little to report from the Bucs v Saints game over in New Orleans.

Sixty yards offence for the home team and just 26 yards from Baker Mayfield's Buccaneers.

Little wonder there has yet to be a score in this NFC South matchup.

  3. Interception - Cowboyspublished at 20:31 GMT

    Dallas Cowboys 0-0 Denver Broncos

We are less than 90 seconds in and already, we have an interception!

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, who threw an 11-yard pass in the second down of the game, is picked off by cornerback Trikweze Bridges just inside the Cowboys' half.

Start as you mean to go on, Dallas.

  5. FT: Jets get first win of the seasonpublished at 20:26 GMT

New York Jets 39-38 Cincinnati Bengals

    What a game!

After a really strong start by the Bengals, they looked like they could run away with it at half-time with the Jets having no answer to Joe Flacco and his offence.

However, Justin Fields still looked good under centre for the Jets, and led the comeback, his two-point conversion keeping them alive at the start of the fourth quarter,

The Bengals had no answer for back-to-back Jets touchdowns, including the winning score being thrown by running back Breece Hall to rookie tight end Mason Taylor.

The win finally gave the Jets a first victory of the season and left the stunned Bengals at 3-5.

  6. Can the Colts tighten their grip on the one seed?published at 20:25 GMT

Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts (20:25 GMT)

Daniel Jones and Jonathan TaylorImage source, Getty Images

The 1-6 Tennessee Titans travel to divisional rivals, the 6-1 Indianapolis Colts in one of the three late slate games.

Led by a revitalised Daniel Jones, the Colts currently hold the one seed in the NFL with their only defeat so far coming in week four against the Los Angeles Rams.

Jones has been near faultless throwing 10 touchdowns and three interceptions across the first seven weeks while Jonathan Taylor has been an absolute bell cow at running-back and leads the league with 697 rushing yards.

The Colts put up 41 points when these two met in September and will fancy their chances at going big once more.

  7. Postpublished at 20:19 GMT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-0 New Orleans Saints

All eyes on New Orleans as we kick off the late window and it's not a great start for the Saints as quarterback Spencer Rattler fumbles on the opening drive.

No harm done though as Tampa go three and out with their first possession.

Stays scoreless in the Big Easy.

  8. Broncos bid to win fifth straight game against the Cowboyspublished at 20:19 GMT

Dallas Cowboys @ Denver Broncos (20:25 GMT)

Prior to today, no NFL team has won five games in a row this season. The Denver Broncos could do that this evening when they host the Dallas Cowboys.

The Broncos' last three wins have all been close games, winning 21-17, 13-11 and 33-32 to move top of the NFC West.

The Dallas Cowboys have as even a record as they could do from their first seven matches. Three wins, three losses and one draw.

Inspired by Dak Prescott's three passing touchdowns, the Cowboys were 44-22 winners over the Washington Commanders three weeks ago.

  9. What happened in the early slate?published at 20:12 GMT

If the late games have as much drama as the early ones, we are going to have no trouble staying awake.

Here are the top stories from the early slate:

  10. Latest scorespublished at 20:11 GMT

The New York Jets did their bit to make this early window as dramatic as possible.

  11. FT: Eagles impress as Skattebo suffers injurypublished at 20:10 GMT

New York Giants 20-38 Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles backed up last week's win in Minnesota with an impressive win over their divisional rivals.

Saquon Barkley had 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns as he looked to return to form but his day was marred by a hamstring injury that kept him out of action for the entire fourth quarter.

The result was arguably the least of the Giants' worries in the end as their star rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a serious ankle injury in the second quarter.

Reports suggest that it may be a dislocated ankle which would likely end his season.

  12. FT: Patriots ease past Brownspublished at 20:09 GMT

Cleveland Browns 13-32 New England Patriots

Five wins in a row for the New England Patriots whose season continues to gather pace.

They barely got out of second gear against the Cleveland Browns despite a stratospheric performance from defensive end Myles Garrett who sacked Patriots quarterback Drake Maye five times.

Mike Vrabel’s Patriots ascend to 6-2 with the Browns going the other way to 2-6.

  13. Safety - Patriotspublished at 20:08 GMT

Cleveland Browns 13-32 New England Patriots

To box things off in New England, the Patriots complete the scoring in depressing fashion for the Browns.

A safety against Cleveland quarterback Dillon Gabriel for intentional grounding gifts a further two points to Drake Maye and company.

    Too easy today.

  14. FT: Ravens end their losing streak with win over Bearspublished at 20:07 GMT

    Chicago Bears 16-30 Baltimore Ravens

This feels like the shock of the night that will struggle to be beaten!

The Chicago Bears were on a four-game winning run and the Baltimore Ravens, without quarterback Lamar Jackson, were on a four-game losing run.

After an early Bears lead, two Derrick Henry rushing touchdowns inspired the Ravens to a 30-16 win at home to Chicago.

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 285 yards, but did not make a single passing touchdown.

  15. touchdown

Touchdown - Jetspublished at 20:05 GMT

New York Jets 39-38 Cincinnati Bengals

    Jets take the lead!

They attempt a run for the endzone but are met by Dexton Hill.

On the next play, running back Breece Hall gets the ball and finds Mason Taylor deep left in the endzone.

They settle for the single point this time and inch ahead!

  16. FT: Texans beat 49ers as Jones strugglespublished at 20:03 GMT

San Francisco 49ers 15-26 Houston Texans

The Houston Texans have beaten the San Francisco 49ers 26-15.

The 49ers were the form team going into this one, but Texans quarterback CJ Stroud threw for two touchdown passes and 318 yards, as well as more than 140 rushing yards from Stroud, Nick Chubb and Woody Marks combined.

The 49ers had one of the best records in the NFL this season, but the Texans locked down Mac Jones' passing in the first half on course to a big victory.

  17. FT: Bills rout Panthers in Carolinapublished at 20:00 GMT

    Buffalo Bills 40-9 Carolina Panthers

The game started off slow in Carolina but once the Bills scored their first touchdown, there was no stopping them.

Twenty-one unanswered points in the third quarter put the game out of sight with James Cook the star of the show.

The running back carried the ball 19 times for 216 yards and two touchdowns.

He may have won a few fantasy matches out there by himself.

  18. touchdown

Touchdown - Ravenspublished at 19:56 GMT

    Chicago Bears 16-30 Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have pulled off one of THE results of the night!

Derrick Henry has his second rushing touchdown of the evening all but seal victory for the hosts. Tyler Loop converts the extra point.

The Ravens were on a four game losing streak, while the Bears had won all of their last four outings.

    Upset.

  19. FT: Dolphins crush Falcons in Atlantapublished at 19:56 GMT

    Miami Dolphins 34-10 Atlanta Falcons

A commanding victory snaps a three-game losing streak for Miami Dolphins, and in some style.

Four touchdown passes for Tua Tagovailoa and an offence that had looked pretty broken, kicked into life today.

As for the Falcons, an impressive win over Buffalo a fortnight ago seems to be ancient history now.

Backing up last week’s defeat by San Francisco 49ers with this mauling at home is not a good look for Atlanta.

  20. Can the Saints get revenge?published at 19:55 GMT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints (20:05 GMT)

While the early games are racing to the finish, we've got three late games on tonight's slate too.

The top and tail of the NFC South go head tohead with the 1-6 New Orleans Saints looking to cause an upset by beating division leaders, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Saints fans won't need reminding of the last time these two met at the Caesars Superdome but for those Buccaneers fans that would like one...

Baker Mayfield led the Bucs to a record-breaking win. Fifty-one points scored, a second-half shutout and 594 yards on the day which set a new franchise record.
