Dublin game will be exciting - Steelers star Heyward
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward says it will be "cool" to be involved in the first ever regular-season National Football League (NFL) game to take place in Dublin next Autumn.
The announcement of the Croke Park contest was made on Friday in the build-up to Sunday's Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Legendary Steelers owner Dan Rooney, who died in 2017, served as US ambassador to Ireland between 2009 and 2012 and his son and grandson remain centrally involved in the NFL team.
"I don't know a lot about Ireland but Mr Rooney was ambassador to Ireland so it's going to be cool to see that transpire and thus have a lot of fans there," said Heyward.
Asked what spectators in Dublin can expect next autumn, Heyward replied: "Hits…..lot of hits…..not a lot of touchdowns I hope….a lot of sacks, a lot of turnovers and a lot of splash plays."
