Joe McAlister runs to victory in Titanic 10K

St Malachy's athlete Joe McAlister won the men's title in Sunday's Titanic Quarter 10K race in Belfast.

McAlister won in 30.40 minutes with Eddie McGinley second and his Annadale Striders team-mate Andrew Agnew third.

Julie Turley of Dromore AC won the women's title, crossing the finishing line in 35.53 minutes, ahead of Pauline Curley and Claire Connor.

In the U15 Junior races Tom Baird took the boys' title and Lois Hagen won the girls' race.

It was another record-breaking year for the event, with over 1600 runners taking part in the road race.
