Cameron Chalmers is capable of winning the British under-20 400m indoor title, according to Guernsey coach Tom Druce.

Chalmers broke the Guernsey under-20 record for the distance at the Scottish Indoor Championships last week, clocking a time of 47.70 seconds.

His brother Alastair broke the island 60m hurdles record at the same event.

"I can't understate the quality of performance they put in. Cameron's time was the 13th fastest indoor 400m in his age group in UK history," Druce said.

"Cameron now will be going for gold in the UK Under-20 Championships indoors and his brother Alastair will be as well in the hurdles in the under-17 men," Druce added to BBC Radio Guernsey.
