    Keely Hodgkinson hasn’t competed since winning gold in Paris almost 12 months ago and is again an absentee as she continues her injury recovery; facing a race against time to prove her fitness for Tokyo.

    Dina Asher-Smith is in the women's 200m, whilst Katarina Johnson-Thompson will compete in the 100m hurdles, javelin and shot put as she looks to build towards a bid for her third world title.

    While Olympic finalist long jumper Jazmin Sawyers, who underwent surgery to repair an injury to her take-off leg a year ago, aims to defend her UK title in a sensational comeback.

    Jacob Fincham-Dukes last stood on a long-jump competition runway five months ago but is also set to return in Birmingham.

    With the World Para Athletics Championships taking place in New Delhi from the 26th of September, Kare Adenegan, Zachary Shaw and Sophie Hahn are among the British stars who’ll feature.

    Athletes will need to secure a top two finish, accompanied by a World Athletics entry standard achieved since 1 August 2024, which will guarantee qualification to the 2026 European Championships.

    Josh Kerr, Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Georgia Hunter Bell are among those who have already confirmed their places due to individual achievements last summer; as medallists from the 2024 Olympics and 2023 World Championships are all guaranteed selection.
