Ashley Cole England's best ever left-back - Stuart Pearce

England Under-21 coach Stuart Pearce believes Ashley Cole is the best left-back that has ever worn the Three Lions, with the Chelsea defender in line for his 100th international cap.

Cole made his senior England debut against Albania in March 2001 and the 32-year-old is expected to reach a century of caps in the friendly against Brazil at Wembley on Wednesday.

Former England left-back Pearce said Cole does not always get the credit he deserves for his "dedication" to his country and his "professional" approach to his career.
