NFL: Lawrence Okoye impresses San Francisco 49ers team-mates

South London-born NFL prospect Lawrence Okoye impresses San Francisco 49ers team-mates in his quest to make their playing squad.

The former rugby player, originally from Croydon, finished 12th in the discus at London 2012 and is now under the tutelage of former NFL Europe coach Jim Tomsula in a bid to transform himself into an American Football player.

Okoye is 6ft 6in, over 21 stone in weight and can run 40 yards in 4.78 seconds. It makes him a perfect candidate for playing defensive end in the NFL.
