GB hopeful Lawrence Okoye pursues Olympic dream
British discus thrower Lawrence Okoye tells BBC News reporter Nick Parrott he believes he made the right decision to put his Oxford University education on hold to pursue his dream of an Olympic gold at London 2012.
The 19-year-old, who also turned down the chance to play professional rugby at Esher this year, holds the British record with a throw of 67.63 metres.
Okoye's next aim is to achieve a top-three finish at the world trials in Birmingham this weekend, so he can qualify for the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea next month.
Watch the World Athletic trials live on BBC Two on Saturday, 30 July 1800 - 1930 BST and Sunday 31 July 1800 - 2000 BST.
