World Athletics 2011: Bolt saddened by Powell withdrawal

World record holder Usain Bolt says it is "sad" that fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell has had to withdraw from the 100m at the upcoming World Athletics Championships in South Korea.

Powell, the fastest man in the world this year, is suffering from a groin injury but could still compete in the 4x100m relay in Daegu. His withdrawal follows that of American sprinter Tyson Gay, who also pulled out of the championships due to injury.

Bolt says the absence of his two main rivals does not mean the final will be any easier and that he is focused and ready for the event.
