Diamond League: Evan Jager falls at final hurdle in steeplechase

American Evan Jager falls after the final hurdle with victory within his grasp in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Diamond League meeting in Paris.

Jager, 26, clears the final jump in the lead but his legs buckle on landing allowing Kenyan Jairus Birech to sprint past and win the race in a time of 7:58.83.

There was some consolation for Jager, as he shattered his own US record, crossing the line in second place with a time of 8:00.45.
