Pietersen selection issues unresolved - Geoff Miller

National selector Geoff Miller reveals that "outstanding issues" relating to Kevin Pietersen's availability for England have not been resolved in time to pick him for England's Test series in India.

In an interview with BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Murphy, Miller reveals selectors were not permitted to pick Pietersen by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

His omission from the England set-up comes after he admitted sending "provocative" text messages to South African players, although Miller insists the batsman has "not necessarily" played his last game for the country.

The first Test against India begins in Ahmedabad on 15 November.
