Keirin world title boosts Hoy's 2012 hopes
Keirin world champion Sir Chris Hoy says he has shown his rivals he can win from any position, after snatching keirin gold on the line at the World Track Cycling in Melbourne.
Hoy says he thought the chance of victory had gone, after leaving it too late to attack from the outside, and that the win was "particularly special" as he may be competing in his last World Championships.
The Brit adds that taking gold in the keirin, the men's sprint and the team sprint at London 2012 would be "a big ask" but he only enters events to win them.
