Becky James and Jess Varnish win first GB gold in Glasgow

Jess Varnish and Becky James win Great Britain's first gold medal of the opening international competition at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome with victory in the women's team sprint at the Track World Cup in Glasgow.

Varnish put the disappointment of disqualification at the London Olympics firmly behind her, setting the platform for James to secure the gold, ahead of Spain, in a time of 33.428 seconds.

Denmark beat Germany to take the bronze medal.
