Stephen Roche welcomes Giro d'Italia to Ireland

Ireland's Stephen Roche welcomes to decision to start the prestigious Giro d'Italia cycle race in Ireland in 2014.

Roche won the event in 1987 and a few weeks later that up with a memorable success in the Tour de France.

He said it was a major coup and would showcase Ireland to the world.
