Mark Cavendish disappointed by Tour de France incident - team boss

Omega Pharma-Quick Step boss Patrick Lefevere tells BBC Sport's Matt Slater that Mark Cavendish is "disappointed" to have been hit by a bottle of urine thrown by a spectator during stage 11 of the Tour de France.

The incident occurred a day after Cavendish was involved in an accident in the final few metres of stage 10 that sent Dutchman Tom Veelers crashing to the floor.

The Manxman was cleared of any blame by race officials, but many fans condemned his actions on social media.
