Tour de France: Chris Froome 'really happy' after stage 17 win

Britain's Chris Froome is "really happy" after winning stage 17 of the Tour de France by nine seconds to increase his overall lead.

The Team Sky rider said he was "prepared to lose a bit of time" to his rivals on the time trial in a bid to conserve energy for the final days of the Tour, but finished the 32km course from Embrun to Chorges in 51 minutes 33 seconds, with Alberto Contador second.

Froome now leads Contador by four minutes 34 seconds with four stages left.
