Track Cycling World Cup: Ireland's Martyn Irvine wins gold in points race
Irishman Martyn Irvine wins gold in the points race after a successful breakaway at the Track Cycling World Cup in Manchester.
He won the last three sprints to claim 15 points and jump up into first place ahead of Dane Lasse Norman Hansen, with Italian Elia Viviani in third.
Irvine's win comes just eight months after he broke his thigh bone in a crash in Taiwan.
