Luis Suarez will not leave Liverpool for Arsenal - Steven Gerrard

England captain Steven Gerrard says he is very "confident" that Luis Suarez will not sign for another English club and hopes to use his "influence" to persuade the Uruguayan to stay at Liverpool.

Gerrard was speaking ahead of England's international friendly against Scotland on Wednesday, a match he described as a "big game" for all the players.

He went on to reveal that Wayne Rooney had confided in him about his uncertain future at Manchester United, but said his only concern was that he was "ready to play" for England.
