Sochi Paralympics: Kelly Gallagher wanted top step on podium

Kelly Gallagher is thrilled after she and guide Charlotte Evans became the first Britons to clinch a Winter Paralympics gold medal as they win the visually impaired Super-G in Sochi.

The county Down woman, 28, told BBC Sport's Nick Hope that the Sochi triumph made "all the hard work worthwhile".

"I can't understate how hard this has been. It's been horrible at times and there have been times when I am thinking, 'what am I doing here. This is a horrible idea'," added Gallagher.
